The Challenges in Managing and Preventing Pain (CHAMPP) Clinical Research Center within the Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine invites applications for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Fellows will have the opportunity to develop their own mentored research project, as well as work on other projects of interest from investigators within the Center. Mentors and projects cover a range of pain topics areas including pain in individuals with serious illnesses (specifically cancer, liver disease, sickle cell disease, and HIV), the acute to chronic pain transition, pain disparities, the intersection of pain with substance use, particularly opioid misuse and use disorder, and implementation science. Methodologic strengths of CHAMPP Center mentors include behavioral science, clinical epidemiology, survey design, clinical trials, qualitative methods, implementation science, and experimental models of pain (Quantitative Sensory Testing, QST).
