Outside of the University, Austin works in project development and offers specialized mentorship for other first-generation, low-income (FGLI) students nationwide as the Lead Program Coordinator of a non-profit organization. Through their work with BEST and CHAMPP, Austin seeks to further their disciplinary education and community engagements by pursuing a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
