Austin Zeng

Austin is an undergraduate student and teaching assistant at the University of Pittsburgh–currently studying Psychology and Sociology, while also serving as an experienced teaching assistant for the English and Children’s Literature departments. As of Fall 2020, Austin has occupied their undergraduate experience with several interactive roles and research endeavors spanning across multiple disciplines–recognized in various literary publications and awarded by the Chancellor's Honors College, as well as the University’s Department of English Literature, for an Undergraduate Teaching and Mellon Research fellowship in 2022, respectively. 
 
Outside of the University, Austin works in project development and offers specialized mentorship for other first-generation, low-income (FGLI) students nationwide as the Lead Program Coordinator of a non-profit organization. Through their work with BEST and CHAMPP, Austin seeks to further their disciplinary education and community engagements by pursuing a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
